Kids fighting Kids

I was able to shoot for one of the fights at least at the recent USEACA event. I had the pleasure of catching a couple moments from these two warriors giving eachother hell. This sport is beautiful. Advertisements

Election Protests.

I have been meaning to update this one for a while, I was able to make my way out to a local protest the day after the Elections. First time doing an event of sorts and enjoyed it. Great energy, lots of passion and I feel like it came out in every shot I took.

Letters for Bresha

15 year old Bresha Meadows faces life in prison for allegedly killing her abusive father. This was a panel to raise funds for her legal fees, to send and show support for Bresha, and to discuss the criminalization of women of color in situations of self defense. Thank you for allowing me to shoot this panel….

Get me out.

So despite the excitement of the past week and the selection of the new President, I was able to finish my Piolet. And in spite of the excitement of the past week, I needed to get the fuck out. So after work Dan, Josh, and I decided to do a night ride out to the hills and…

Descend on Bend: Photo Dump

Here is an outrageous photo dump of the past weekends festivities at Descend on Bend at Hole in the ground here in Oregon. I have recently acquired a Fuji XT1 and was excited to put the new camera through its paces and hopefully tune it in for my liking. I was not disapointed. We were…

Onward!

Chelsea and I have decided to turn the blog into a straight up photography page for myself at this point. We were trying to figure out what to do with the site since we had finished the TAT more than a year ago! I will be posting photo essays and links to my Photography…

The antithesis of its cardinal East side, Western Oregon is a lush temperate rain forest where…

Pics or it Didn’t Happen: Criticizing Photography

With so many people with a camera, whether it be a DSLR or a built-in one on your phone, it raises the question, “Do you really need to take a picture of that?”  Everyone you meet is either a photographer or a critic and in my dynamic with Rob he’s the guy with the camera and…

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to all of our readers and supporters! We will be spending them finishing out the book design and then disconnecting in the woods.   -Arrows West

What are Your Needs?

Lately, we’ve been waking up so that we can use the hours to get closer to that book.  Soon, it’ll be one dream over, but what will take it’s place?  For the last segment of the TAT, Oregon, we will be sharing it when it is printed (*hint hint*) in December.  In the meantime, please…

A Break in Thought. What It’s Like to be a Partner

Hey, how are you guys doing?  Me?  Pretty swell.  For those who don’t know, we ended up in Eugene, Oregon around January 2015, that’s after about 5 months on the road and hoot knows where.  Oregon has been good to us.  But, after we settled down we couldn’t write and just the thought of working…
